Gluten Free Food For All Market, Mt. Airy

Food For All Market

Amazing gluten free sandwiches are fast becoming common place here in Philadelphia. Just when I thought Paesano’s was going to be the only amazing sandwich I would discover during my time in Philly, I find Food For All Market in the Mt. Airy neighbourhood. It was recommended to me by a few local celiacs and I’m so glad I decided to check it out.

Food For All Market is run by two lovely ladies and everything they sell is gluten free. One of the women bakes her own bread and various cakes and snacks in their 100% gluten and nut free kitchen. There are a couple of tables in the store for customers who wish to sit in and enjoy something warm and delicious. John and I decided to try a couple of their amazing sounding sandwiches (there is a choice of 10) which come on a choice of home made bread, teff wrap or rice tortilla.

I hadn’t eaten home made bread in a long while so I excitedly opted for that. I chose The Jodi ( local sun-dried tomato hummus, sliced house roasted Eberly turkey breast, local melted Farmer’s cheese & organic roasted peppers) and John went for The Dennis (Sliced Eberly turkey breast topped with Cafe Estelle bacon, Jeanne Jones guacamole & bruschetta)

These sandwiches were absolutely amazing! The bread was soft, warm and delicious and the brimming ingredients were fresh and amazingly flavoursome. I really enjoyed my lunch at this homey little gluten free store.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your trip and visit. 🙂

I hope you didn’t really mean ‘homely’ though at the end of your article…maybe ‘homey’?

    peace,
    Kristian
