Gluten Free Cajun Spaghetti Bolognese

I don’t eat a lot of pasta these days for 3 reasons. One, gluten free pasta tends to be pretty expensive, two, it always seems to turn out a bit squishy when I cook it and three, I’d almost always choose rice over pasta anyway. Every so often though, I feel like a change and when I spotted an interesting sounding gluten free spaghetti by De Boles (made with rice, quinoa and amaranth) in Whole Foods recently, I thought I’d give gluten free spaghetti bolognese a try!

  • Gluten Free spaghetti (approx 120 grams)
  • Cajun spices

How to make it

  • Add pasta to boiling water and cook for 10 minutes or until soft
  • Chop 4 cloves of garlic and a quarter onion and fry in pan
  • Add ground beef and cook
  • Sprinkle generously with cajun spices
  • Add 3 or 4 teaspoons of tomato paste
  • Chop up pepper and add to pan
  • Sprinkle with more cajun spices
  • Simmer for 10 minutes
